PASSING IS SIMPLE, BUT NOT EASY!
Ever tried to solve a complex problem under stress? Of course you have; every time you try to pass a good guard player, you're trying to solve all the problems he's presenting you, while in danger of leglocks, sweeps, triangles, juji gatame, you name it!
Yes, passing the guard of a good player is hard, but the concepts and what you are actually trying to accomplish are very simple. In this instructional, I will teach you Pressure Passing in a way you have never seen before.
SIMPLICITY IS THE ULTIMATE SOPHISTICATION
I will give you one very specific goal you need to attain, three rules you must follow at all times, and five cues to look for to complete the pass.
I have been studying passing for so many years; I have tried many systems and played different styles, but something has always been missing. I wanted a pressure passing system that worked against all types of guards and was simple enough to use under stress. I couldn't find it anywhere, so I created it!
The starting point was the mental model "first principles thinking". "It’s a tool to help break down complicated problems by separating what we know is absolutely true from anything that is an assumption. What remains are the essentials. If you know the first principles of something, you can build the rest of your knowledge around them to produce something new."
Funny enough, the system I created is a CLA system. But it wasn't the goal at first. It was a kind of coming-full-circle journey.
TRANSFORM YOUR UNDERSTANDING
In this instructional, you will find:
- The goal and the three rules
- The five cues you're looking for to complete the pass and capitalize on his mistakes
- All the techniques and details to achieve the goal, respect the rules, and complete the pass
- A game to play to drastically increase your passing game
- A 3x5min match to see the system live against a skilled opponent
- A flowchart of the system
Pressure Passing is my favorite area of Grappling. There is nothing more satisfying than to feel your opponent collapse under your pressure. Once you see passing through the lens I'm about to give you, and you practice the game I designed, in a couple of months you will see a drastic improvement in your passing game.
Now, you too will enjoy the collapse of your enemies!
